23/04/2013 – Optical Character Recognition and Verification in Vision Systems

This webcast will begin with a discussion of optical character recognition (OCR) and optical character verification (OCV) by defining the two terms and explaining their practical differences. It will explain the development of algorithms, including the basis of the original algorithms, and examine the application of current algorithms and best practices, including geometric pattern matching. The presentation will focus heavily on best practices and how to avoid common pitfalls. It will also present case studies that appy these principles. During the interactive Q&A session, audience members will be able to get expert guidance in relation to their own applications.

25/04/2013 – NanoSpice™: Giga-scale Pure SPICE Simulator to Design-for-Yield — taking Parallel SPICE capacity to the next level

Traditionally designers use SPICE for accuracy and FastSPICE for capacity or performance. Parallelization has helped improve capacity and performance of SPICE. FastSPICE has not improved sufficiently in accuracy and usability, especially when you consider process variation effects and for low power designs that use multiple operating modes and supply voltages. This webinar will demonstrate how NanoSpice pushes Parallel SPICE capacity to the next level and will share performance benchmarking data. Analog and Memory application cases will be shown as well as a NanoSpice use case with High Sigma Monte Carlo.
